What’s going through your head as you lay in bed the night before … a hunt, a fishing trip, a ride?:

All the possibilities! Endless possibilities. And of course, am I remembering everything? The gear needed for these adventures is paramount.

What motivates you to do what you do?:

The feeling of being alive. The smell of the crisp mountain air, the feeling of my horse beneath me, the satisfaction derived from giving something my all. The unknown of a great adventure, the pure joy of living this way, and our deep love for animals. To really thrive and not just survive, and to be able to look back at say I didn’t let fear drive my life. We really live these values, we go all in. And of course being a good role model for our kids, and having them grow up this way.

How do you step your game up year after year?:

Being a willing student to life, there’s always something more to learn. Keeping our fire inside alive, really following our passions and what makes us feel alive. Paying attention to our circle, the company we keep. Fostering a love for growth which requires determination, heart, grit, trust and at times discipline!

What would you identify as a quality you possess that makes you stand out amongst your peers?:

Qualities my family has that make us stand out- leadership, we don’t follow the crowd! A connection to the greater world around us, and a trust that comes from that connection. Determination, we aren’t quitters, we will stop at nothing to achieve a goal. Joy- a deep joy that comes from getting to do what we love. A true bond that we have cultivated by including in our kids in this passion for life, we are quite the team.

If you could improve one aspect of what you do, what would it be and why?:

To live outside of our comfort zone more, that’s where growth happens.

If you could only listen to one music album the rest of your life, what would it be?:

It’s the soundtrack to our lives, it’s played in the background on every road trip that we lose service, in my head while I’m doing chores, on the JBL while we’re riding.

Past, present, or future: who is one person you would sit down with for a full course meal and why?:

Honestly, my family. There’s no one else I’d rather be with. They’ve earned a seat at my table and I throughly enjoy their company.

Is a hotdog a sandwich?:

Uhhh, nope lol

Who has had the biggest influence on your life and why?:

God and country music. No explanation needed:)

What is your most favorite smell?:

Horses, autumn air, rain, whiskey

What is the best book you have read?:

The comfort crisis- Michael Easter

Would you rather be the smartest person or the funniest person?:

Funniest! Laughter can cure just about anything

Your go to favorite meal?:

Right now…. Steak!

How would you explain what Canvas Cutter represents?:

What is your favorite Canvas Cutter product and why?:

The brumby cantle bag! The day I go on a ride and I’m not constantly trying to even the weight of my hanging saddle bag so that my saddle isn’t sliding to one side is a great day! Ha also having a sandwich that isn’t smashed is a bonus as well! Plus they look sharp AF. A well thought out design and product!

What is something people would never guess just by looking at you?:
