This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes the information, data collection, and other privacy practices our website currently located at www.canvascutter.com (the "Site") we collect about you and explains how we handle and may share or disclose it to third parties.  It also describes how you may control certain uses of your information. By visiting the Site, you are consenting to the practices described in the current version of this privacy policy. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information directly from you in a number of ways, including, but not limited to;

  5. Whenever you post publicly or share comments publicly, we may collect information about you that accompanies the post, including your name, username, email address, your photo or avatar, and any other information publicly accessible in your post.

Information We Collect Automatically

We use a variety of technologies to automatically collect certain information on our visitors and customers who visit our website or interact with our email or online advertisements.  For example, we may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or other technologies.  The information we may collect includes, but is not limited to:

  1. We may collect information about your browser or device type, unique identifiers of any of your computers, mobile devices, or other devices used to access our site or interact with our email or online advertisements, your IP address, device model, and device operating system.

Information From Other Sources 

Information that you give us may be combined with other information (such as order history and demographic information) from trusted third-party sources to make our marketing efforts more efficient. Examples of other information we receive from third-party sources include updated delivery and address information, which we use to correct our records and deliver your next purchase or catalog more easily.

How We Share Your Information

We may share the information we collect from and about you in the following ways:

  1. Service Providers: We engage other companies and individuals to perform certain services and functions on our behalf. Examples include operating and maintaining our Site, taking orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing consultation and assistance, distributing customer surveys, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. These companies have access to personal information needed to perform their services or functions but may not use it for other purposes.
  2. Legal matters: We may release information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or in response to a governmental request, to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Canvas Cutter, our customers, our employees or other third parties.
  3. Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy subsidiaries or business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing privacy policy (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the event that Canvas Cutter, LLC or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will likely be one of the transferred assets.
  4. Sharing: We may share your information with other reputable companies so they may send you information about products of potential interest. If you prefer that we not share your name and postal address with other companies, please see "How to remove your name from our mailing, sharing or email list" section below.

If we share your information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, the information received by those third parties becomes subject to their respective privacy policies and procedures.

Online Tracking and Advertising

Certain parts of our website require the use of tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons.  You are free to adjust your browser or operating system to limit certain tracking or to decline cookies; however, by doing so, you may not be able to use our website.

Our system does not respond to Do Not Track requests or headers from some or all browsers.  Changing your online tracking or advertising preferences in your browser or operating system will not impact the collection, use, or sharing of your information by Canvas Cutter. 

Children’s Privacy

You must be at least 13 years of age (or older if required by law in your jurisdiction) to use our website, create an account, or order from us.  Our website is not intended to be used by children without the direct involvement and express approval of a parent or guardian who already has an account with us.

California Residents

If you are a resident of California, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA, and subject to exceptions, California residents have certain rights regarding their data. 

This Notice applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“CA Consumers”) and is presented in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice. References to “you” and “yours” in this Notice are directed to CA Consumers only.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA, and subject to exceptions, California residents have certain rights regarding their data, including:

  1. The right to know the categories of personal information we’ve collected and the categories of sources from which we got the information.
  2. The right to know the business purpose for collecting personal information
  3. The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information
  4. The right to access the specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected and the right to delete your information.
  5. The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you
  6. The right to opt out of having your personal information sold. Canvas Cutter does not sell your personal information. However, we support the CCPA by allowing California residents to opt out of any future sale of their personal information to third parties, as we understand that term to be defined by the CCPA and its implementing regulations.

California residents also have the right to not be discriminated against if they choose to exercise their privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your California privacy rights and we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you with a lesser quality of goods or services if you exercise any of those rights.

Exercising Your Rights

  • To submit a Request to Know or Request to Delete as a Consumer please email support@canvascutter.com and use the subject line "California Consumer Privacy Act Request". In the body, please include whether you would like to know or delete your personal information.
  • In order to verify data rights requests and the information in it, you must provide, at a minimum, your name and an email address and respond to a confirmation email that will be sent to that address. We may ask that you log in to your canvascutter.com account or provide a photo of an official government issued ID  

Only you, or a designated authorized agent (someone legally authorized to act on your behalf and with written permission), may make a verifiable consumer request related to your Personal Information.

Sales of Personal Information / Do Not Sell My Personal Information:

Canvas Cutter does not sell your personal information.

If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 gives you the right to request information about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  To make such a request, send an email to support@canvascutter.com.  The subject line must state “California Privacy Rights”.   

If you are a California resident under the age of 18, and a registered user of our site, California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 gives you the right to request and obtain removal of certain content you have publicly posted.  To make such a request, send an email to support@canvascutter.com.  The subject line must state “California Removal Request”. 

You must include a detailed description of the specific content or information you wish to have removed.  Please be aware that such a request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information you have posted and there may be circumstances in which applicable law does not require or allow removal, even if requested. 

Please keep in mind that any request for information or removal of postings must be addressed as indicated above.  Canvas Cutter cannot be responsible for requests that are misaddressed or mislabeled.

How to Remove your Name from our Mailing, Sharing or Email List and Opt-Out of Promotional Mailings

To remove your name from our mailing, sharing, or email list, you may send an email to support@canvascutter.com.  “Delete Account” must appear in the subject of the email.

GDPR Information Removal

If you would like to request for any of all of your information to be removed from our database. Send an email to support@canvascutter.com.  The subject line must state “GDPR Removal Request”. 

You must include a detailed description of the specific content or information you wish to have removed.  Please be aware that such a request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information you have posted and there may be circumstances in which applicable law does not require or allow removal, even if requested. 

Please keep in mind that any request for information or removal of postings must be addressed as indicated above.  Canvas Cutter cannot be responsible for requests that are misaddressed or mislabeled.

We recommend that you examine the privacy statements posted on those other Web sites to understand their procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information. 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

canvascutter.com may update this privacy policy in the future. We will notify you about material changes to this privacy policy by sending a notice to the e-mail address you provided to us or by placing a prominent notice on our Web site.
