Weston McArthur

Hey! My name is Weston McArthur and I am the owner of Rise and Shed. I’m happily married to the love of my life, Jessie. Have an amazing little girl who is named Meadow. I am a full time content creator, videographer, photographer, and editor. I took the leap and have been running Rise and Shed full time for over 5 years now! I enjoy spending as much time in the mountains as possible, either shed hunting, fishing, or pursuing animals. When I’m not in the hills, I enjoy spending time with my little family doing any activity we desire!

What’s going through your head as you lay in bed the night before … a hunt, a fishing trip, a ride?:

I’m usually envisioning what will happen that next day. I’m huge on manifestation!

What motivates you to do what you do?:

My family and anyone that said I couldn’t make Rise and Shed workout as a full time career.

How do you step your game up year after year?:

Quality content and collaborating with like minded individuals that push you to be better than you were.

What would you identify as a quality you possess that makes you stand out amongst your peers?:

My heart. I’m an emotional guy that loves to help and genuinely see people succeed.

If you could improve one aspect of what you do, what would it be and why?:

My reach. I feel if I reach more people I could help impact more lives and help people go after anything they desire.

Past, present, or future: who is one person you would sit down with for a full course meal and why?:

My dad. He unfortunately committed suicide when I was 17 and he has missed so much of my life and huge milestones. I’d do anything to hear his laugh and see him again.

Is a hotdog a sandwich?:

Technically…. Yes??

Who has had the biggest influence on your life and why?:

My parents. They have always been there for me. They taught me right from wrong. Been huge on respecting others and treating people the way you want to be treated. They are both hard workers and providers

What is your most favorite smell?:

Sage after a rain storm

What is the best book you have read?:

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

Would you rather be the smartest person or the funniest person?:

Smartest

Your go to favorite meal?:

Venison and rice

How would you explain what Canvas Cutter represents?:

Persistent. Started many years ago with one bedroll and exploded into what it is today!

What is your favorite Canvas Cutter product and why?:

Dominator. I sleep in that thing easily over 50 nights a year. Comfortable, convenient, and very mobile!

What is something people would never guess just by looking at you?:

Since having Meadow I’m a bit of a cryer haha!
