I did a three day back pack trip into the Grand Canyon October 2023, using the Summit bivy (v 1.0) with standard sized poles. The Summit performed flawlessly and was easy to pack in. The first night I used the standard poles but I didn't like the claustrophobic feel trying to crawl in and out of the bivy with the standard poles so I didn't use them the rest of the trip. Since then, I decided to invest in the full length poles and man what a difference. Easy to crawl in and out of the bag now and feels amazingly roomy inside while keeping the mosi net off of my face. These full length poles are a keeper.

Happy to have the full pole system, having the lower portion of the tent on your legs was not the move.

Love it a lot! If you ever get claustrophobic in the old tent this will help tons! It also keeps the tent off your feet and that’s a big help for the summit. With the summit you tend to get quite a bit of condensation on the inside and this product keeps you dry. On top a big shout out to their customer service. I had one set break and they replaced it for me in no time. Then when I accidentally told them the wrong tent I had, they took the old ones back and gave me the correct ones with almost no questions! So big thanks to them for that.

This pole system is a game changer! It was a great system before, but it just gets better with the full length poles. The comfort, and ventilation are greatly improved. The additional weight is nothing to speak of. Keep up the great innovative work. Cheers, Mike B.

I now have both sizes of the full length pole systems and the Mesh. Of course the Dominator size gives more room but I like the new design of the smaller Fortress. A crook in the center head pole for a bit more headroom and no center pole at the foot end not restricting my feet as much makes the smaller size less noticeable. And of course I appreciate the excellent zippers in both. The guys are right saying The Mesh/full length pole systems are a great sleep system in their own right. On dry nights that aren't too cold The Mesh tents are definitely my preference.
