Product Information

Built for the Nights That Decide the Trip

A long day outside gets a lot harder when the night before was spent cold, wet, cramped, or fighting with a shelter that never worked the way it should.

The Dominator 3.0 was built around a simpler idea: your camp sleep system should help you recover instead of giving you another problem to solve.

This waterproof canvas bedroll creates a protected, structured place to sleep without requiring a traditional tent setup. Roll it out in the back of a truck, on a cot, beside the fire, or directly at basecamp. Once it is set up, you have dependable protection from rough ground, changing weather, wind, dust, and insects.

It is not built to be the lightest sleep shelter available. It is built for the person who values comfort, durability, simplicity, and equipment they can depend on season after season.

Waterproof Protection Without Trapping You Inside

Keeping rain out is only part of building a dependable bedroll. A shelter also needs to manage airflow so moisture and heat do not become trapped around you during the night.

The Dominator 3.0 combines several layers of weather protection:

  • Water and mildew-resistant exterior coatings
  • A breathable microporous polyurethane interior coating
  • Fully taped seams
  • A full-length canvas weather flap over the zipper
  • A heavy-duty 15 oz canvas bottom for additional ground protection

Magnetic vents at both the head and foot give you control over airflow as temperatures and conditions change. Open them for more ventilation or close them when you need additional protection.

The result is a waterproof canvas bedroll designed to keep outside moisture out while helping reduce overheating and condensation inside.

Room to Sleep Like a Person

Traditional bivy sacks and narrow sleeping systems often leave very little room above your face or around your body. They may protect you from the weather, but they can still feel cramped once you are zipped inside.

The Dominator 3.0 uses a full-length 11 mm pole system with a center spreader bar to create a structured interior from head to foot. At 90 inches long, 34 inches wide, and 31.5 inches tall, it gives you space to settle in, move naturally, and sit partially upright without canvas resting directly against you.

Built-in locking grommets hold the pole system securely in place, including when the bedroll is used on a cot or uneven ground.

A removable full-coverage mesh screen lets you maintain ventilation while keeping mosquitoes, flies, and other unwanted camp visitors outside.

Fast Setup Without a Tent Full of Loose Parts

A sleep shelter should not take over camp.

The Dominator 3.0 deploys quickly and avoids the footprint, loose components, and extended setup associated with many traditional tents. The pole system gives the bedroll structure, while four zipper sliders provide easy access from either side and allow you to adjust how much of the bedroll is open.

Use it for:

  • Hunting and fishing camps
  • Truck and SUV camping
  • Overland travel
  • Cot camping
  • Horse and pack-animal camps
  • Ranch and outdoor work
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Extended basecamp trips

When the trip is over, removable cinch straps with aluminum G-hooks and Anchor buckles help secure the rolled bedroll for storage and transportation.

Built for Real Use, Not Occasional Use

The Dominator 3.0 is made from Canvas Cutter’s proprietary heavy-duty canvas, with double-stitched seams, taped construction, all-metal hardware, and dependable #8 YKK zippers.

The 12 oz top canvas provides weather protection and breathability, while the 15 oz bottom is designed to handle repeated contact with rough ground, truck beds, cots, and dirty camp environments.

This is not a delicate shelter that has to be treated carefully every time it comes out of storage. It is equipment meant to be used repeatedly, cleaned when needed, and carried from one trip to the next.

Buy it once. Build it into your camp. Keep using it for years.

Build the Sleep System That Fits You

The standard Dominator 3.0 includes:

  • Dominator 3.0 canvas bedroll
  • Full pole system

A mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, and other camp accessories are not included with the standard option unless selected as part of a bundle.

Choose a preconfigured bundle or build your own setup with:

  • Bedrock insulated hybrid sleeping pad
  • 3" thick foam pad
  • Bunker Bag 0° sleeping bag
  • R.E.M. pillow
  • Locker bedroll gear bag
  • Barrier Mat

Customer video review of DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

Mule packing for a week in the sierras - ranchers cowboys and me. First time I’ve had a truly perfect time camping. Most of the guys use this and this year they convinced me to give it a shot. Absolutely killer experience. Thank you.

Customer photo review of DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

It has been an awsome set up, I love how easy it is to grab it and go! It does really well with blocking out the sunlight for an afternoon nap and kept me pretty warm on chilly evenings. I can't wait for the fall to really out it through it's paces. If you're on the fence about buying it then I highly suggest getting one and trying it for yourself!

DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

Customer photo review of DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

I’ve had this sucker for about a month now. I have slept in it 5 times and every time was phenomenal. It’s everything I expected and more. I’ve slept in 30 mph winds, heavy rain another night and how summer night with the cover off and bug net on and slept good. I am excited to use it for archery elk camp. I can set it up and take it down in 10 minutes. Great product.

DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

Customer photo review of DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

So I’ve had my Dominator3.0, bunker bag, and the barrier mat for a while now. You can say it’s well lived in at this point. I’m constantly on the road for work, travel/camping trips, and looking forward to using in the hunting season. My first experience with these products was in temps below 25 degrees and winds up to 40mph with being in super high elevation. I will say I agree to the statements made about it being the most comfortable and cozy place to sleep. And I can also agree to the statement about the notorious middle of the night wiz… I did not want to get up. That morning I was supposed to start my hike at 7am but I was so cozy I slept till 10….. best nights sleep I’ve had in a while! Yes even counting the nights I’ve sleep in my own bed. This was prior to getting my bedrock pad. I’ve slept on gravel, dirt, concrete, and so on without the pad and still have gotten an adequate nights sleep with no complaints. The pillow sleeve has come in handy on the bunker bag numerous times I’ve forgot my pillow. I just usually fold a banket up and stuff it in the sleeve and use it as my pillow. Very well thought out and very durable. Now that I have my bedrock pad it has enhanced my experience. When these items are not in use they constantly live in the back of my rig so no matter where I go I always have a place to sleep. I use the canvas bag my bunker bag came in to store my folding table, chair, seasons, and cooking supplies. I want everyone to be able to experience this because like me you will find your self making an excuse to sleep in it rather than your bed. And if I can’t think of one, I’ll just sleep in it anyway in my room. I do want everyone to know even though these products are amazing they DO NOT just keep you warm on there own. You have to dress appropriately to the weather and not think just because you have a premium product you will be fine regardless. That’s not how life works. But yes I have stayed plenty warm, comfortable, and cozy. Regardless of heat, rain, and high wind. Definitely recommend to everyone that I know and tell them yes it’s a premium price but it’s a buy once item and I didn’t cry when I bought it. I knew I had bought something that would last a lifetime and could be passed down through the generations and still be as durable and reliable as when I first used it.

DOMINATOR 3.0 CANVAS BEDROLL

Customer photo review of DOMINATOR 3.0 SLEEP SYSTEM

The Dominator 3.0 Bedroll is the most secure and versatile all season sleep system I’ve used. It’s absolutely bomb proof construction keeps creepy crawly creatures and four legged critters at bay. The foam pad provides plenty of insulation from the ground while conforming to every curve of your body. The bunker sleeping bag is plenty big to stretch out in all while keeping you warm without restrictions. The pillow can be inflated to however you prefer your head support. The Dominator bedroll is made from waterproof canvas and has a bug screen liner you can use on its own if you want even more ventilation. Overall this system does everything you want it to and is a four season system that you can take anywhere.

Absolutely great product. I’ve purchased a lot of gear over the years and spent lots of money. This is the best investment that I’ve made. The quality is outstanding and well engineered. As they say out there, “Buy once. Cry Once.” No tears here. Just happy I bought it. Go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

The best sleep I’ve ever gotten while camping. Took it to Bear Creek Lake this past weekend to try it out. Setting it up and breaking it down was a breeze which allowed me to enjoy some fishing before the rain came down.

easy to set up. First two nights out star gazing with just bug cover, not to many critters out and none inside. fourth night the winds were 25 mph so cover was used. cover has nice sound in winds.

This bedroll really was an improvement from the 2.0. I own both and the increased headspace, pole system and vents make all the difference. This thing rocks! Been using it for months now and it's definitely worth it. Can't wait for the saddle bags! Oh and it's basically the same size as the 2.0 and weighs just one pound more (21lbs with mattress).

I was going to buy a bed for my new place, but then I learned about the Dominator 3. I love sleeping in my Dominator 3. I use it exclusively for indoor use.

DOMINATOR 3.0 SLEEP SYSTEM

Customer photo review of DOMINATOR 3.0 SLEEP SYSTEM

On day two before getting inside the bedroll I noticed under the zipper flap and down the side what looked like black pepper sprinkles. I raised the flap and that's when I realized something chewed its way through the zipper teeth and got in. It looked like mouse droppings on my blanket and pillow. So, I slept in the bedroll for three more nights with a defective zipper and it just killed the mood for the rest of the experience. It has been rolled up and sitting on a shelf since then.

Dominator Sleep System

Customer photo review of Dominator Sleep System

My canvas cutter loaded dominator is superior to anything I’ve ever used in the past. It is by far the most comfortable sleep I’ve ever got while on pack trip When I ordered this, they were back ordered, but upon my request, they shipped me what they had in stock I do wish they had a contact number I was not able to talk to anybody in customer support or in shipping therefore I had no idea if my order would ship if it was not complete I do understand that this is a very small company with a small staff, but I could not get any response to the emails. I sent to customer support very frustrating

I am having a great time in Canada with using the Dominator. Recently at a campsite I got ask many times about the product. Some were jealous that I could be directly under the pines and stars, compared to what they were staying in.

I love it! have used a competitors similar bedroll for years and as a sturdier fellow (6’2”, 240lbs, and big feet) I struggled with foot room. With the dominator bedroll and the full length pole system, I have plenty of foot room, and no longer wake up with sore ankles.

One of the best pieces of gear I have ever purchased. I am extremely impressed with the level of quality in this bedroll. From the zippers to the canvas, it all works so dang well. It can be used hard and tough and it works flawlessly. I’m surprised more people don’t own these. They are an excellent sleep system. By far the best I’ve used. I’ll be buying more for family members to use while hunting. Also held up perfectly with the full pole system in high winds and rain.

Customer photo review of Dominator 2.0 Bedroll Bundle

Best decision Iv made for my sleep in the woods! This bedroll has been great so far this spring and is going to be a game changer for future camping trips and during fall hunting season. The pad is amazing and with full length pole system it is very roomy. If you get you a good sleeping bag, you can take this down to super low temps in the fall/winter, and during hotter weather you can unzip it and use a bug net to let a breeze in and cool down! I also got a twin XL sheet set with a short spastic sheet strap/clamp to cover the pad and it works great! Zippers are heavy duty, and the canvis is solid. Coming from “a bull in a China shop” (me), this is a solid and well built bedroll that is very impressive and built to last!
